Two display ports were discovered in the NVIDIA GeForce Titan X

NVIDIA's TITAN series

Although the second-generation TITAN GPU is already a part of history, this particular model stands out above all others.

The most opulent GPUs at the time were NVIDIA's TITAN series, which was introduced in 2013 and was built for the finest gaming performance at a somewhat hefty price. However, almost ten years later, a selling price of $999 makes NVIDIA look bad because they now produce GPUs that cost far more money.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X was released in 2015. It used a Maxwell GM200 GPU with 3072 CUDA cores as its foundation. At the time, this graphics card was the most potent gaming GPU, with 12GB of GDDR5 memory.

The card bought by Redditor "puzzlew" is identical to the card that was subsequently made available on the market, with the tiny caveat that it only has two display ports as opposed to four.

As it turns out, the GTX Titan X shares the same board number as the Titan X that was first made available for purchase. The product code for this model is 699-1G600-0000-501C rather than 699-1G600-0000-500E, though.

It has been confirmed by the NVIDIA community manager on Reddit that this is an engineering sample that wasn't supposed to be sold. The business frequently gave pre-production units to collaborators who then used the hardware for validation. One of the samples in this instance was sold without NVIDIA's consent.
